Paris Fashion Week has only just begun—and what a way to kick off proceedings. It’s day two, and Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Christian Dior is set to unveil its spring/summer 2025 collection tonight. As usual, anticipation is sky high. Little to no sneaks have been posted on the maison’s Instagram account so far, but it’s easy to guess what the brand might deliver. For one: Chiuri will always be about feminism as much as she is about fashion.
Earlier in June this year, Dior travelled to Scotland to show its resort collection, which was presented in the lush splendour of the gardens of Drummond Castle. Guests watched models strut down the runway, clad in styles that showcased Chiuri’s appreciation for Scottish fashion and craft traditions. The pre-collection rocked with dramatic, defiant beauty, as Chiuri zeroed in on the most traditional of patterns, textiles and fabrics—the tartan and cashmeres, the tweeds and the Argyles—and cut them into contemporary hourglass jackets, full skirts and beribboned sling-backs.
Tonight, as another page is turned for the house, one can expect the same unwavering, femininity-charged stance from the creative director. Who to look out for at the front row? House ambassadors like Jisoo, Apo Nattawin, Dilraba Dilmurat, Zhou Ye and South Korean actor Nam Joo-hyuk are reported to be in attendance.
Tune in to the Dior spring/summer 2025 collection here, live from Paris Fashion Week, on Tuesday, 24 September at 9PM Singapore time.
