From Seoul and Seville to Mumbai and Mexico, Maria Grazia Chiuri has always had a penchant for choosing stunning backdrops for Dior’s shows. A sense of whimsy is always gleaned; one which each unique destination contributes to. This year’s cruise 2025 show is no different, as the storied maison heads to the garden grounds of Drummond Castle in Scotland for its highly-awaited unveiling.
In Mexico last year, the house melded tradition with skillful craftsmanship for its cruise 2024 collection. One that saw unexpected huipil tops styled youthfully, whilst tunics and billowing skirts were exquisitely rendered in lace and exuberant motifs reminiscent of the land it was debuted on. With the cruise 2025 show set to unfold soon, Dior has since hinted at the upcoming collection, with a teaser that shows Chiuri herself visiting the Musée de Cluny, a medieval art museum in Paris. Her focus? The ‘La Dame à la Licorne’, a series of tapestries also known as ‘The Lady and the Unicorn’ which positions the female figure as a central figure in nature. With Mother Nature and the strength of the feminine at the core of Chiuri’s vision, the collection that will bloom in the stupendous garden landscapes will no doubt be one of timeless splendour, unrivalled in its homage to the artisanal roots of the house.
