Virtual fashion presentations have become de rigeur in the industry following the coronavirus pandemic, and Celine has definitely elevated the experience with its innovative mix of film and performance (see: The Dancing Kid, the brand’s SS21 presentation for their menswear collection) in the absence of a show at Paris Fashion Week.
For their spring/summer 2021 women’s collection, Celine is back again with yet another presentation to tantalise fashion fanatics. So far, teaser snippets of what’s in store show sumptuous, gilded interiors (complete with grand chandeliers), sensual dancers, and military regalia—an odd mish-mash of references that we’re excited to see Hedi Slimane pull together at his show.
