The photographer Candice Lake is no stranger to either Cartier or Vogue. Australian-born and London-based, she’s been a contributor to various international editions of Vogue, and been a part of many of Cartier’s celebrations. Which is why it made sense to enlist Lake’s help, when she flew in for the first time to Singapore, to document her personal, and most certainly insider, experience of the Cartier Trinity 100 Journey here.
The French maison is staging a big celebration of the Trinity collection’s 100th anniversary, with Pop-Ups staged in just four cities around the world. In Singapore, the immersive experience is held at The Arts House on Old Parliament, open to the public from 15 to 23 July.
As part of the Pop-Ups, the brand has put together an original creative project titled Imagine Infinite Circles, in which over a hundred creatives were invited to create works inspired by the Trinity collection. Lake is, naturally, one of these participating creatives.
To mark the occasion, Cartier threw a blowout party this time last week. The French maison flew in a coterie of guests and celebrities from around the region to partake in the celebrations—a glamorous affair held at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre.
Here, a recollection of the Trinity 100 experience in Singapore through the eyes and lens of Candice Lake.
