Much is to be expected for Bottega Veneta’s upcoming runway presentation, especially with the launch of creative director Matthieu Blazy‘s first spring/summer collection. Ever since his debut at Milan Fashion Week earlier this February, Blazy has brought renewed focus to the house as a purveyor of leather goods. Standout pieces from the fall/winter 2022 show such as trompe-l’œil denim garments made in leather as well as iterations of the brand’s signature intrecciato weaving technique on shoes demonstrated Blazy’s vision of pragmatic luxury—and we’re excited to where he will go from here. Under the good hands of Blazy and with the fashion house commissioning Italian architect Gaetano Pesce to design its runway space, the spring/summer 2023 show is bound to be a visual treat.
