As far as internet moments go, luxury label BOSS’ recent spring/summer 2023 runway show was as viral as it gets. Presented on March 15 by the former Miami Herald office, 500 guests looked on as sharp tailored separates—in an assortment of cream, grey, khaki and brown—floated down the runway. Featuring menswear and womenswear line ups, the drawingboard for the 70-look collection, as imagined by senior vice president of creative direction Marco Falcioni, took cues from The Magic City itself.

This manifested in a myriad of ways—first, by paying homage to BOSS’ core of tailoring and then, by nodding to the brand’s glittering progression forward in the form of sheer fabrics and allure-infused designs. This genre-defying sensibility was also present in the ambiance of the venue. The audience floated atop an inky black body of water as the word ‘BOSS’ loomed over in the distance and a star-studded cast made their way down a runway illuminated by sparkling purple lights. Missed the show? Fret not, here’s what to know about what went down.

The set design sported an aquatic theme
The collection’s refreshing tone was met with a set of equal measure. Inspired by the sunny sensibilities of Miami, the venue was constructed within large panels of water lined by purple sparkling lights. From a distance, this resulted in the models looking like they were sauntering on large bodies of water.
