Spring/summer 2021 was an unprecedented season, with many fashion brands choosing to show digitally, rather than holding a physical show, due to strict COVID-19 restrictions in the fashion capitals of New York, London, Milan and Paris. As they say, necessity is the mother of all invention, and the fashion houses did not fail to intrigue and delight audiences despite not being able to show their collections as per seasons past. This spirit of innovation carried through in their spring/summer 2021 campaigns: Dior tapped photographer Elina Kechicheva for a rich, textured campaign that looked as if it could be an Old Masters painting, while Fendi gave us an ethereal, dreamy escapist vision.
