The show must go on! Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the Primetime Emmy Awards 2020 continued as planned—albeit with safety measures in place. Host Jimmy Kimmel took to the stage at an empty Staples Centre, with several special presenters joining him—Jennifer Aniston, Laverne Cox and Cynthia Erivo, among them—while nominees and guests joined in the event live from their homes. But in case you were wondering, Hollywood’s finest still put their best foot forward, fashion-wise, for the award show’s virtual red carpet.
Some memorable looks from the evening: Regina King‘s electric blue Schiaparelli Couture gown that was bejewelled beyond belief; Billy Porter, who rocked an all-white, custom Ashi Studio look; H.E.R. in a custom, cheongsam-inspired gown by Vera Wang.
