With a staggering 350 million users and propensity for creating viral trends, it comes as no surprise that Fortnite has collaborated with the likes of Marvel, Travis Scott and the NFL, to name a few. Next up, its first-ever creative partnership with a luxury fashion brand—Balenciaga.

As all Balenciaga devotees would be aware, this is not its first dalliance with the gaming industry. Last year, the house created its own original video game, Afterworld: The Age of Tomorrow, to showcase its autumn/winter 2021 collection. This dystopian ode to our increasing reliance on technology was the stage to which Demna Gvasalia and his team unveiled their first virtual reality runway show. Balenciaga’s latest partnership with Epic Games, the video game developer behind Fortnite, seems to be a natural continuation of the brand’s journey into the metaverse.

The premise of Fortnite is to fight until you are the last man standing. This is but one facet of the popular game. Within the virtual world of Fortnite, players can also invest in clothing and accessories, dubbed skins. Thanks to Balenciaga x Fortnite, players can now access Balenciaga backpacks and Triple S Sneakers, so you and your avatar can match each other online and offline. Give your avatar ‘the drip’, with tools inspired by real-life Balenciaga cult items, such as the Speed Sneaker Pickaxe and Hourglass bag glider. Players can even visit virtual stores resembling real-world outlets at Retail Row for an immersive digital shopping experience.
A limited-edition series of physical products has also been created to commemorate the occasion. Rep Fortnite IRL while wearing Balenciaga streetwear staples such as a hoodie, denim jacket, oversized shirt and cap featuring both brand’s logos.
The Balenciaga x Fortnite collection is now available in Singapore at Balenciaga The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands and on Balenciaga.com. Some of the items are already sold out online, so scroll down for our top picks and add to cart ASAP:
