Ever since it was first announced that Balenciaga would be making a return to haute couture week for the first time in 53 years, anticipation for the collection has been high. Add the fact that it is also artistic director Demna Gvasalia’s first couture collection, and it’s no wonder that Balenciaga acolytes and fashion devotees alike have been counting down the days to the unveiling of the show.
Originally intended to be shown in July 2020, the presentation had to be postponed due to the pandemic. But soon, all will be revealed via an in-person physical show, set in a replica of the original salons at Balenciaga’s historic 10 Avenue Georges V store.
