The building blocks behind every Daniel Lee collection is comfort—how each piece feels to the touch and when worn against the body. For resort 2021, Lee has gone for the plush and the fuzzy with Bottega Veneta. Cable-knits double up as loungewear, while his wool jackets are sculptural with a deliberate nipped-in waist for that slightly exaggerated hourglass silhouette. Pants are cut high-waisted with a generous flare and worn over chunky lug boots, which in my opinion, totally changes the proportion of the body. But the highlight of Bottega Veneta resort 2021 is the clever use of colour. From a splash of dusty lilac to mustard, acid green and teal, to the right amount of gloss that lifts the entire collection, we are left with a collection it as cool as it is desirable.
