It’s official, Jonathan Anderson’s first-ever haute couture collection with the house of Dior is (nearly) here. After a remarkable few seasons—recall the tearful bow after presenting his first ready-to-wear womenswear collection for the spring/summer 2026 season—all eyes are on the Irish designer as he prepares to unveil the house’s haute couture collection for the spring/summer 2026 season.

Anderson, who first joined the house in April last year as its menswear creative director before taking over the reins of both its mens- and womenswear lines in June 2025, has since been ushering in a new era of Dior—one that looks to legacy house codes and revives them through a contemporary lens, without forgoing its roots. His first collection with the brand, for instance, was a delightful amalgamation of sartorial sensibilities that would feel immediately familiar to followers of the brand. Whispers of opulence were paired with precise tailoring for that signature Dior feel, while the unexpected styling combinations made for a modern-day “New Look”, à la Anderson.

Now, for the spring/summer 2026 couture show, fans of Anderson’s work are expecting that same balance between legacy and modernity. Anderson’s stint with the maison may have only begun last year, but it’s plain to see that the couturier has a penchant for playing up proportions, distorting the form and redefining what luxury fashion looks like for the modern style savant. Those who can’t wait for tonight’s show can temporarily quell their curiosity by drawing hints from the brand’s teasers for the collection. A series of curated artefacts, such as raw stone materials and fresh flowers (a Monsieur Dior favourite), find their place alongside a sculptural dress, lensed by Japanese photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto. What these cryptic references could mean for the collection is anyone’s guess at this point, but for Anderson, this might be his most high-stakes collection yet.
