The year might be going by ridiculously fast but that also means that it’s time for Pink Dot 2021, Singapore’s very own annual event held in support of the LGBTQ community. Similar to last year, there will be a digital light-up with livestream performances taking place on 12 June at 8pm.
The significance behind the idea of Pink Dot is deeply poetic: it is the colour of our Singapore Identity Cards and a mixture of the flag colours. While we might be missing the pre-pandemic festivities, complete with glitzy attire and copious amounts of daytime dancing, members and allies alike can still show their solidarity from the comfort of their own homes during Pink Dot 2021, with the location of the sign-ons displayed on the Singapore map.
So go ahead and light up your room in pink and, of course, put together a dazzling and cosy outfit for the extravaganza. If you’re still wondering what to wear or how to dress up your home, here are some suggestions worthy of the fabulous occasion.
