Leggings; love them or hate them, you can’t be rid of them. After seasons of baggy denim, wide-leg trousers, and a general tendency toward all things oversized, the humble tights are making a bold comeback. The street style set have spoken: we’re swapping out flared silhouettes for something far more sculpted and flattering. Anyone who remembers the ’90s knows how central these fitted pants were to the sartorial landscape. From Beyoncé to Lindsay Lohan and our beloved Posh Spice, these babies had reached cult status, becoming the ultimate ‘It girl’ uniform. You either wore it or did your best to stay clear of it (and probably failed).

This slimly-fitted darling have been teasing its return for a while now, with Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner being early proponents of its return. And if the spring/summer 2026 runways were telling of anything, it’s that the season ahead is going to be filled with a flurry of cool girls slipping into a pair of their own. With Conner Ives veering audacious with a fuschia-hued pair, Coperni going the classic route with a skinny black number, and some plush velvet leggings at Jean Paul Gaultier.
Yet its best feature might be the myriad range of styling possibilities. There’s the fairly apparent trick in the book for starters: simply throw on a blazer. Or matching a statement black pair with statement accessories. As for the ones who want to have some fun? A chic printed capri with a simple tank is the way to go.
Below, see Vogue Singapore’s take on how to wear leggings this season.
