The obsession with tiny accessories isn’t going anywhere for autumn/winter 2020. Fendi built on the micro trend that has swept the catwalks the past few seasons with a new iteration: the belt charm. The “tech jewellery” pieces were a collaboration with Chaos founders Charlotte Stockdale and Katie Lyall, whose smart phone pouches and monogrammed minaudières “left no device untouched”.
Models wore decorated belts akin to charm bracelets, adorned with practical-yet-impractical trinkets that were undeniably chic. Brass earphone holders, iPad pens, Apple Watch charms and metal cigarette lighters dangled from belts, while bags were strung with leather shot glass holders (containing enough cups to share a round with friends).
Worn in clusters or solo, the charms were not the only decorative elements of the show—one model sported a black and yellow pen as an earring (handy!), while tiny Fendi logos dangled around others’ necks.
Here, eight Fendi autumn/winter 2020 looks that showcase its must-have micro charms.
