The verdict is in, and the biggest stars in music have come out to play. It was a long shot, but the 2025 Grammy Awards has officially seen the light of day. A considered decision, no less, in the wake of the recent Los Angeles wildfires. Something that was clearly on everyone’s mind still, with the evening’s host Trevor Noah also actively encouraging donations to the ongoing relief efforts.
So what of the glamour? Music’s most eventful night was poised to dole out the nods to the most deserving nominees in each category, but surely the red carpet deserves its own slice of the awards show on its own. What with the past year’s buzziest names walking the walk and strutting their glitziest choices of armour for all to see.
There were the ones dressed to impress—in ways that felt intrinsically them. Like Sabrina Carpenter’s custom-made baby blue gown by Jonathan Anderson, that hanging Chopard pendant down her back a definitive paid actor. Or Doechii’s impossibly sleek Thom Browne suit dress cementing her own brand of cool. Bonus points for the swift transformation for her performance of ‘Catfish’ on stage later that night. On the more theatrical front, Chappell Roan sashayed in wearing archival Jean Paul Gaultier that was highly referential: a spring 2003 couture number which sees a rendition of Edgar Degas’s ‘Dancer with a Bouquet’ painting printed all over its tulle skirt. Meanwhile, Cardi B struck out in gold, wearing a Roberto Cavalli gown with feathers splaying out from its hem. But whilst many opted for custom looks, there’s no denying the inexplicable pull of an off-the-runway look. Case in point? That feathery number by Ludovic de Saint Sernin by Jean Paul Gaultier as seen on Charli XCX, or the ethereal beauty that is Madison Beer in Miss Sohee’s spring 2025 couture.
And whilst we don’t doubt that everyone made sure to put out their sartorial best on the 2025 Grammy Awards red carpet, we certainly had some shining favourites. Below, the best dressed of the lot.
