Les Exclusifs de Chanel Eau de Parfum Comète
Touted as a fragrance of optimism, the latest addition to the Les Exclusifs de Chanel family boasts a vibrant olfactory identity; a floral-centred scent that comprises hidden musky depths. Think cherry blossom accord, tempered by rich and creamy heliotrope that gives away to notes of iris and musk. I am a fan of how it settles on skin, going from a sweet and powdery odour to something multidimensional and nuanced. Crafted by the maison’s in-house perfume creator, Olivier Polge, it is said to pay homage to the idea of stardust, particularly the Comète necklace from the 1932 high jewellery collection—a piece that brings to mind “the enveloping trail of a skin fragrance.”— Emily Heng, associate beauty editor
